Friday Cemetery Blogging

It's raining.

There is no better way to get ready for work than to do it to the rhythm of the rain on the bathroom skylight. Its even better if that rhythm can lull you to sleep. Or if you can roll out of bed, put on some old clothes and head outside for a wet walk.
I've always wanted to live someplace like Seattle or London where it rains so often that you might actually wear out an umbrella. Is there some sort of condition, opposite of Seasonal Affective Disorder, whereby you become depressed by too much sun and heavy grey clouds leave you feeling energized and wanting to work outside?
Maybe this is all just a side effect of growing up in the desert south.

How many of these do you have? I swear you have a tombstone for everything!

Yeah. I'm like the Scout Master of the Cemetery. Always prepared.

I don't know about you...I get so depressed by too much rain. I can't imagine too much sun! We are so moist here, moss is growing on everything that sits still. The roof, the steps, the bricks...if I'm outside any length of time, my fingers start to get wrinkled like I was in the bath too long. And every time I take a step on the lawn, it squishes. I think it would be so totally cool to live in the desert...

And where the heck is Mindy?

I really love the rain! I could never be happy with sun all the time; especially, hot desert sun. God love. Does this mean I am twisted somehow? I love rain, snow, clouds, and even darkness. Will there be times for evening in heaven?

I love thunderstorms. But drizzle depresses me.
