Check it out!

Look what they planted in the field just down the road from my house! It was a corn maze last year.
Corn makes me sneeze. A lot.

Didn't have time to hunt up a cemetery picture. Hope this will do instead!

Seems I'm first in line here lately.

Rach, those are some spectacular pictures! Can I get a copy of the them?

I ask because when I was a kid (back when Moses was president) the best thing I ever grew was a sunflower. It grew so big that it produced seeds that I was able to roast and eat. These pictures remind me of that flower.

Geez, girl, you have a gift with that camera.

Oh man, I bet that is a gorgeous sight in real life!! I'm just curious, are they selling the flowers or are they selling the seeds?

We were going to take the boys to the Corn Maze this fall (the one outside Lubbock). Is that the one? We can still do the apple orchard.

PG - Sure, I'll email them too you this weekend.

Lorna - It's pretty. Right next door, the did plant that infernal, water-suckin' corn, but this is in the next field over.

Annie - I guess they sell the seeds. Sunflowers were a big crop here a few years ago, but you don't see them as much now.

Jeff - that Maze is still there as far as I know. This one was a smaller version, a few miles to the north. Enjoy it and the apples when you come!

Mazes are so fun. Spooky but fun. This crop looks just huge!

Annie for a price, I am sure that Rach in the wee hours of the morning while traveling along on her "bike o' armor" could pick out a few choice flowers for you.

Jeff, I love that Apple orchard, but being the poor abused hubby of Rach, she never takes me there. She also has this rule when we go places before we get out of the car that she lays down to both Katie and me: "NOW YOU TWO HAD BETTER BE ON YOUR BEST BEHAVIOR WHEN WE GO IN HERE. WE DO NOT WANT A REPEAT OF THE LAST TIME. WE ARE RUNNING OUT OF PLACES THAT WILL ALLOW US INSIDE THE DOORS" You knock over one little old blue haired lady while trying to get the last sale item on the shelf or make one old man crash his motorized cart while playing demolishion derby in the store isle, and you get labled for life.

Sorry, Janie - I'm a lowly serf. No landowner rights.

Gerry - This particlar field is kinda small. Well, relatively speaking.

Jackson - you are full of it. But then, this comes as a surprise to no one.

Looks like a sunflower at prayer.

Jackson and Rach ..... DEFINITELY go to the apple orchard! Don't worry about behavior - most of it is outdoors, though there is some indoor shopping and dining ..... and if you do "knock over one little old blue haired lady while trying to get the last sale item" - don't worry, on all that acreage, you can bury her body and on one will ever know!

Thanks, PCIT! That's kind of what I thought too.

Jeff - Don't encourage him...

We went to college in North Dakota. The coldest four years of my life--but OOOOH the sunflower fields were wondrous! This reminded me. Great photo!

Very, very nice, with more warm and fuzzy feelings that tombstones provoke.

Oooh, I love what Cynthia said; I so understand the feel of that relating to the sunflowers. Also, I love the pictures...
