Standard Disclaimer: He's named after the Indian Chief, not the city.

My 7 year old nephew was upset, as usual, with his 16 year old brother yesterday. While his brother was dozing in a recliner across the room, he told me all about it.

Seattle: "I'm so mad at him! But I'm gonna have my revenge!"
Me: "Oh really? How so?"
Seattle: "Just wait 'till March 17th rolls around. Just wait!"
Me: "Um, why? What happens on March 17th?"
Seattle: "Its St. Patrick's Day. And he probably won't remember to wear green. And THEN I'll get him! I'm gonna pinch him hard!"
Me: "You are truly a diabolical mastermind, dude. I bow before your evil genius."
Seattle: "Yeah. I know."

...and he ran off to play some more.

Long range planning, not a good thing to get this kid angry.

Reminds me of family gatherings long past. Except I tormented family members right then and there with lip-synch shows to entire Huey Lewis and the News albums.

Too funny! Thanks for the title; it would have been my question...

If St. Paddy's Day doesn't work, there's always Arbor Day.

No one expects an ambush on Arbor Day.

Peace,
Milton

Good point, Milton. Arbor Day is a lot like the Spanish Inquisition.

I thought maybe it was after the race horse, Seattle Slough...nah, I suspected it would be Chief.

Cool name, though. I just read about another kid whose family owns a ranch nearby - his name is "Brazos". I really like that one, too. Sounds like a main character in a Cormac McCarthy novel...

Is that really his name?!! (I am just commenting because I can. I wanted to say something last week, but I couldn't figure out how and I have just today figured out how to leave a comment on blogs that have not succumbed to the Blogger Beta!)

Yep, that's really his name. I've always thought it was pretty cool. I like Brazos, too, Pattie.
