I'm gonna have this tattoo'd somewhere. And not necessarily on me!

I am afraid that the ones who really need to hear this (and assimilate it into their consciousness) would never understand what the heck this seal is saying...

It would also need to be on someone's forehead and I do not see that happening.

Unless she tattooed it on yours, dear Princess! You could be a walking forehead reminding all you see that no matter how sorry you are, you still may have to take the butt-whippin too...

But then again, I am surprised at the deals that are cut by expressing a little bit of remorse.

Now that is bad. Ass. If you don't already have a tat, this one is a great way to start. I bet a lot of your probationers have ink. Why not special tattoos for probation officers? Hell, yeah!

Now you've got me thinking of tattoo ideas again. [sigh]

I'd love to have a tattoo, Miss Kitty. I know what I want and I have a pretty good idea of where I want it. Its just that I can't leave my couch in the same place for more than 30 days at a time, so how could I live with a tattoo in the same place for the rest of my life?

Annie that is an excellent point...but the ones that would need it the most would not even be able to pronounce the words.

Maybe it doesn't ameliorate consequences, but it does show humanity. When a judge has to decide how soon to let this person back on the street and if he or she will ever do the same thing again it's a powerful tool. Yes if can be faked, but I'm sure you've seen the real sociopaths that feel nothing, and shudder when they hit the streets again.

I bet you could get one of your "frobationers" to do it for some community service hours.

that's nice...you should get it made into a rubber stamp and stamp it everywhere!! Including on people.
