Friday Cemetery Blogging

Here are a couple of photos for your perusal:

They're real purdy, blah, blah, blah. The lesson today, boys and girls, is to take close up photos on cloudy days because the colors are way all spectacularish. Yadda, yadda, yadda, enough of that.

What I really wanted to show you is this:

I've spent the last two days painting my shoes! Aren't they neat?! They started out as $3.50 all-white Wal-Mart crap-shoes. Now they are all better. I'm gonna wear 'em to work on Friday. Do you think anyone will notice?

And speaking of cool stuff, check out the audioblogging meme on little david's site. I'm planning to try it out, too.

Those certainly are some colorful artsy-fartsy shoes! I am impressed with your paint job!

The audio blog thing sounds like fun though I am not sure I have the guts to do it.

Gotta admit--the shoes are way cool. So when are you wearing them to church? Did you use textile paints or markers?

Don't get nervous about the audioblogging. When you get to the end of recording, you have an option to redo it or delete it after listening to it. I'm thinking of doing some with different accents.

Can you do one with the Godfather accent? That always cracks me up.

I'm going camping this weekend, so no church shoes until next week!

Reminds me of this little ditty:

"You've got your kickers an' your ropers,
Your everyday loafers, an' some that you can never find.
You've got slippers an' your zippers,
Your grabbers and your grippers, an' man, don't you hate that kind?
Some you wear in, an' some you wear out,
Some you wanna leave behind. (Some you wanna leave behind.)
Sometimes you hate 'em, an' sometimes you love 'em,
I guess it all depends on which way you rub 'em,
But a girl can never have too many of 'em.
It's amazing what a little polish'll do:
Men are like shoes."

But, these shoes, these shoes are da berries!

Gives me a great idea....
