Friday Cemetery Blogging

The cemetery at Silverton, which we explored last weekend was pretty nice, if a little boring. However, I did find this interesting juxtaposition. Maybe it explains how some of these people ended up here.

This doesn't have much to do with cemeteries, but M2 and I have come up with a new plan for our retirement. We've decided to become nuns who solve crimes. Kind of a Murder, They Prayed sort of a thing. There are a couple of kinks we'll have to work out. For one thing, I'll have to convert. But given my generally shallow brand loyalty with regards to religion, that shouldn't be much of a problem. The big hickey in the deal is our husbands. I figured we could just divorce 'em, but M2 said the church frowns on that. She says we'll have to hope they kick off of natural causes or we'll have to bump them off ourselves. Its still all in the planning stages, but I'll keep you updated.

Jackson says he hopes we become crime-solving Episcopalians.

Maybe I can be the wacky girl friday (like Monk has) and carry around a lint roller to help keep ya'lls habits lint free?

Hilarious! The juxtaposition of names is pretty funny.

I think everybody needs a "wacky girl Friday" like Monk has. I know *I* sure could use an assistant to help me keep my head out of the clouds and my foot out of my mouth...

BTW, Spooky: I love your new "Things I Wish I Had Said." Tee-hee!

Well, how great was that? A genuine laugh out loud. You could skip all the Episcopalian prep-work and just whip up your own little denomination, couldn't you? Solve crimes and do it all tax free.

well, you'd have quite a bit of brand loyalty if you include an albino monk as your sidekick. (i'm just joking)

You'd have to go with Episcopalian or Presbyterian or some other denomination because the Catholic thing has already be done ... The Father Dowling mysteries.
I can even see the sign above your door ... "Spooky Mexican Detective Agency"

There are some Anglican and Episcopalian nuns. Presbyterians don't go in for that kind of thing.

On the other hand, since it's a fictional story anyway why not create your own denomination? Lately, it seems like everyone is doing that!!

LOL at the Silverton grave picture, BTW.

I'm all for creating your own religion, too...unless there was a reason you wanted to bump your husbands off early.

Just do it. The husbands can be the auxilliary unit.

Hey, you can become Episcopalian nuns who solve crimes: http://www.rafandsioux.com/Convent/ . These ladies wear the full traditional habit, etc. Anyway, the plan sounds good.

Where is Silverton? We live in Mineral Wells and do lots of cemeteries/genealogy.
