We are back. A good time was had by all.
We went to Dallas, which was a bit of a change in plan. But Love Field was only 45 minutes from a hospital room, if need be. Pray for Jackson's family.
Unfortunately, we didn't have time for any meetups. Bummer. Hell, my own parents were in Dallas at the same time as us and we didn't even see them!
As sort of a substitue meet-up, I've decided to post a picture of myself on the blog - something I've never done before. I'm not all that concerned about anonymity or privacy. And I'm pretty normal looking, not some sort of oozing, plauge-ridden cave-woman. I just never had a picture I wanted to post. You know how it is when you are the family photo-geek. There are no pictures of you in existence.
Anyway, while at Six Flags, Jackson snapped my photo with Wonder Woman and Flash! Here it is:
What? You didn't actually think that I'd post an undoctored photo of myself taken on a day when it was 107 degrees outside, with an ungodly amount of humidity? A photo taken after 4 hours of roller coasters and water rides? Silly readers.

you used the shower door lense on your camera for that one, didn't you!? :o)
Yep. Had to bust it up in little pieces to get it in the camera bag! But, once you duct tape it to the camera, it works just great!
I'd like to note that I am as tall as Wonder Woman (something I didn't realize until I saw the photo) and I got, like, 75 pounds on her. I could so totally kick her butt.
And Flash was such a wuss. I think he was on something. Something mellow.
You turkey, you! I just flat out do not like photos of myself, unless of course, they are altered!
As it so happens, I am off to the store now to buy a bleach pen so I can try a new technique on a photo of myself. We shall see what happens.
I am so glad you are back.
What a tease...you built up our hopes and then disappointed us...
sigh..
glad you had a good time!!!
(i've always thought wonder woman was a wuss...)
Hah! I still think you must be hiding your West Texas BIG HAIR, girl...'fess up.
My money would be on you in a superhero fight!
Now, if that was hung in a prestigous gallery, it could be a nice little earner!
Glad you're safe home. Prayers continue
Uh-oh, Beth! Them's fightin' words! Wonder Woman can't help it if the tee-vee animators have made her a wuss ever since SuperFriends and her Amazingly Immobile Hair. She's way all better in the comic books.
QG - You got me. After years and years of Marsha Brady hair, it is now at least curly. And too dang short. I'm trying to grow it as fast as I can. Just in case I get into a superhero fight. 'Cause I don't want to get stuck with the Sampson effect, doncha know. Ha ha!
Annie - I gotta know about this bleach effect. Sounds interesting.
Welcome back. If you can survive the theme park vacation up this way during the gawd-awful heat we had last week, I'd put my money on you against anyone, super hero or not!
Welcome back, Spooky! Glad to know you had a good time. The "shower door" effect was hilarious--how'd you do that?
Brush Strokes/Oil Painting filter in my photo software. First time it ever came in handy!
So, back to the grindstone, heh?
At least this weekend was a virtual coldfront compared to our recent past temps.
Kman and I laughed - we always loved to get on the Spelunkers little cave ride when at Six Flags in the summer. Here's the drill, first you go on the Log Ride to get really wet, then you get in line for Spelunkers, and when you get in the frosty winter scene and that cold AC blows on you, it's is like heaven.
Oh yeah, they took out the great little Spelunkers a long time ago. Haven't been back since...
(grin)
