Johari Window

I stole this from Cheesehead, who stole it herself. She's such a thief.

Its sort of interesting. Check it out.

You know I was the first one in there, don't you? And I put myself as anonymous! and I had a hard time limiting myself to only five choices and I wanted to change some of them and could not figure out how to do that.

I was amazed that 100% of the people said the same thing I said! I thought I was brilliant! Then I realized I was the first one there.

But seriously, I am fascinated by the whole concept of the Johari window.

And for me to reveal that is was me who posted as anonymous! indicates that I am a trusting person and will likely cause you to reveal something of yourself back to me...

in this case, it might be your opinion of myself as being somewhat flaky!

Oh, I meant to put my intials in, at least...A O

I came back and told you my intials were A O but it does not seem to be showing up (Yes, I am anomymous!).

I was also thinking it might be interesting to do this is two parts...send the window out to friends and family and then compare the results to those of the internet friends.

You always make me smile, annie! Ha ha! I am somewhat fascinted with the window thing myself, but I don't totally understand it.

You are right about the family and friends thing. Most of my family and friends probably read this blog anyway. Maybe they'll participate and I can pick out the internet buddies from the real-life folks to see if there are any differences. (Hint! Hint!)

Hmm... to bad I don't have a psychology/sociology project due for some class or something. This could be the start of something interesting.

I picked 14 but it would only let me have 6, its hard to describe you with just 6 traits. So I guess I should have chosen complex. If I only had one choice it would be accepting.

Here's what I think is interesting about this exercise - the whole "internet relationship" thing - not, like *relationship* relationship, but that thing about *knowing* people based soley on internet interaction...

When I was filling yours out, I kept saying to myself "Only pick things you could know based on the blog." For that reason I didn't choose "brave" because I was like - how can I know that?! And then I wondered if I was projecting myself - or what I wished for myself on to you and...oh! So many interesting questions about this new technology!

Anyway, there's a lot more to say about internet interaction and such, but I won't take up all the space.

But just so you know, *I* thought you were brave!

Wooo-hoo!
*spookyrach does a little braveness/happy dance*

This really is interesting once you think about it. Could be a good dissertation in here somewhere. But it ain't gonna be me doing it!

I stole in from Scrivener. Friday Mom stole it from me. I don't know who took it from there. Maybe Scrivener stole it from Cheesehead? In any case, it's fun....did you play on mine, I can't remember?

Hi Rach -- the "experiment" as begun! I sent out one window to friends and family, and posted another one to my blog. This ought to be interesting!

Now, see, that is odd, Mindy, who knows you, put you as quiet, and as far as I can tell, none of your internet friends chose quiet!

spookyrach said...

Well, I am quieter than Mindy. Ha ha!

I tend to be quiet when I am around people I don't know well or who don't know me. My screwy sense of humor gets me into trouble otherwise.

So are you brave enough to try your hand at "Nohari"?
