So far this morning...

...everyone who's come in the door has stopped and taken just one more deep breath. Then they turn to the rest of us and say "It smells soooo good."

Moisture. Actual humid-type stuff. In. Our. Air.

Not a cloud in the sky, but we can still smell the rain.

Kinda like when we were in grade school. You would be lined up about to go somewhere down the hall and then...then you could smell...the hot rolls that were going to be served at lunch.

Knowing that something good is just right around the corner.

I love the smell of rain! I really love to sit on the porch and watch an approaching thunderstorm head our way!!

I am very, very jealous. It has not rained here in FOREVER. Something is wrong in this state.

Yes, rain does smell wonderful. I hike when it hits the hot pavement and sizzles up the nose. Also orange blossoms in the breeze (I used to live in Sunny Cal.) And the aroma of onions cooking in butter. Well, I could give a lot of food examples there are time/space limitations.

No rain in San Antonio yet. I like the grits-like smell of those white hedges when they bloom in the spring.

Counting down to April!!!!!!!!!!!!

You're welcome. I'm glad the Fed Ex package of our downpours of the last two days arrived safely.

Word verification: "bonswi" Use in a sentence: Showing off her fluent French after delivering the rain gift, PG entered the room flourishing her spandex cape and pronouncing "Bonswi!"

Yay! I'm so glad you all have experienced that lovely smell in the air.

BTW...I may be commenting periodically here on some of your earlier posts that I've missed...so, when you see I've jumped in and out from day to day, that's what I'm doing--catching up yet again. I am making it a point to keep up with you this year; because, well, because you're just cool.
