Not Sold in Stores - Available on K-Tel Records

I got a mix CD in the mail from a total stranger a few weeks ago. It is awesome - I just love it. The total stranger got my address off a website where people post their addresses and exchange cool little bits of postal-ly goodness with each other. If you want to play too, let me know and I will send you the link.

Anyway, while listening to the CD and trying to decide what to send total stranger in return, I decided this blog needs a soundtrack. What fun!

Once, while in college, I made a mix cassette (the ultimate in technological advancement for your listening pleasure - at the time) of theme songs for everyone I knew. (Well, not everyone, but you get the idea.) I think Janet - Official Skewed View Archivist for nigh on to seventeen years - has the last surviving copy. It is definitely time for an update.

So, if you are interested in the O-fficial Skewed View Soundtrack, send me an email with your address and I'll mail one out to ya. As long as supplies last. (My email address is in the sidebar.) This feeble attempt is somewhat incomplete, but it leaves room for a second and third volume later on.

~Raises her hand~ I want one!!

~grins~ Ya'll will love it....I got to go to the red carpet premier and I sat by Hugh Laurie who, BTW, has the cutest little english accent. ~sighs~ And he says that he will send me a postcard just as soon as Rach sends him a copy of the CD.

I want one! I make mixed cd's all the time. Usually of sappy 70's tunes.

Alas and alack I have let you down, the beloved tape with "Pirates" and "Play the Pianer" broke a few years ago. It was a family favorite and I definitely want this one though I am sure it will not be as classical.

You're right, Janet. Nothing can touch the original. ha ha! (Playing nice makes for a more boring song selection.)

I used to do that too! It took HOURS. Tape to tape, YIKES. What were we THINKING!? Oh ya, it was all we had. I even made the tape covers out of wrapping paper and I know of 2 remaining copies that people still actually own. I doubt they still listen though....

This is hoax, right? This is one of those times that Lois gets excited about something that everyone else knows isn't for real, and then Lois ends up looking silly...right?

I had no idea blogs needed theme music. I guess if I was choosing one for myself, I can think of only one clear winner: Dum Dum Dum, Dum Da Dum, Dum da Dum.
(the imperial march, duh.)

I love mix tapes. My husband makes me CDs often, and it is wonderful. I like to make up my own blog songs too. What a neat idea you have.

Thanks, Rach for the CD! I love it! Now I'm going to work on a QG theme CD. You've inspired me.
