  1. OK SpookyRach...you're going to have to explain (probably all over again) where your fascination with the slightly macabre and the gloomy originated. What put the spooky into Rachel? I used to love wandering around old churchyards as a child, and I guess I still do (bit too much of a "busman's holiday" to attempt it too regularly these days), but you have clearly taken enthusiasm for all things pertaining to necropoli to new levels. There must be a story in here, surely? We'd love to know.
    Oh...and those are great pictures!

  2. Thanks for the comment, Kathryn! I have had this question from others lately, so I will work on a post to answer it, hopefully satisfactorily!

Ooo! I feel like I'm in a mystery novel or something - like the heroine just suddenly became aware of a clue that had been there all along...a message from the grave...

    Ooooo...

    hee!

  6. I just came across your blog and I thought it interesting. (Gosh, that sounds like one of those spambots, doesn't it?)

I won't ask you to visit my site though, or buy something.

There are a lot of interesting stories in cemetaries. I visit an old one here in town (my son is there), and I have learned a lot of interesting things about ouor local history from clues begun there.

Any way. . . I thought I'd just leave a note before moving on.

    Take care.

  7. I like them too. It's funny, your fascination seems perfectly normal to me, my mother enjoys looking around old cemeteries.
