The itsy bitsty Rachel walked up the mountain high. Sat on a log and watched others hiking by. Sat there some more as, sweating, they came back and the itsy bitsy Rachel had herself quite a laugh.
(having a 'week', as it were. Thanks for the poetic fodder)
And great pictures. I love the branch especially. Looks like a Dementor's hand.
Ohhhh! That's goooood, PG! I think I will sing that as loud and as often as possible on the ride home. I'm sure the others will appreciate it. A lot. (I love the spooky branch/hand, too.)
I like PG.'s poem for you! My sentiments exactly; in regard to the hiking! I used to really enjoy hiking in the mountains before I gained weight and "ole' Arthur" took over. Perhaps when I get brand new knees I shall hike again someday....
annie - really good point! I was sort of curious about what wsa down at the bottom of the other side. But I also craved being alone at the top, no talking, no laughing, just listening. It was great! (Plus I'm naturally lazy!)

Weren't you even curious about what was on the other side of the mountain?
ReplyDeleteI like the spooky branch photo, it does look like an evil hand. And I swear I can smell the pine sap off that first photo!
I love the photos. Too bad you run with people who lack good sense!
ReplyDeleteAnd not the people you work with.
